Jasper is mostly silica which means that it is quartz based, Jasper is formed when the waters filled with silica flow around all the rocks and pick up the assorted sediment along the way. Depending on the type of minerals that gets mixed in determines what type of Jasper it becomes. Basically, Jasper is a mixture of different types of microcrystalline quartz that is filled with other minerals.
Jasper is very calming and resonates very well with the Root Chakra. Zebra Jasper specifically is not only very grounding but it helps us to become optimistic and tackle those life problems that tend to keep people from moving forward
